About Marty.

Marty Campbell is Pierce County’s Councilmember for District 5 representing the neighborhoods of Midland, Parkland, Clover Creek, Summit- Waller, Riverside, Fifie, Fife Heights, Brown’s Point & Dash Point, and Tacoma’s East Side, South End, and Northeast neighborhoods. Prior to joining the County Council, Campbell was a Tacoma City Councilmember for 8 years and a successful local small business entrepreneur.

Marty Campbell is now running for Pierce County Assessor-Treasurer to bring his management and business experience to help run a professional and effective Assessor-Treasurer’s Office. Pierce County voters deserve quality customer service, efficient use of taxpayer dollars, and professional and fair tax assessments.

Marty is the only candidate with county-level government experience. Marty has passed major legislation addressing Pierce County’s mental health, addiction, public health, and housing crises, significantly improving resources to help people get into recovery and creating more affordable housing for everyone. His work on the County Council administering Federal pandemic relief funds and passing balanced budgets makes him uniquely qualified to take on the duties of County Assessor.
